Drive from fjord to the inner parts of Trollheimen. Kårvatn fjellgård (farm) is located in beautiful nature which offers the cleanest water and purest air of Norway! Furthest in Todalen, appr. 40 km from the centre of Surnadal you will find this cabin which is part of the Nordmøre Tourist Association network. The cabin offers excellent hiking terrain further into Trollheimen. Trout fishing in rivers and mountain lakes, and hiking trips through reservation. At the barn there is a shop with merchandise for hikers and extreme sport athletes. The storehouse at Kårvatn is a museum; stuffed animals placed in environments resembling Trollheimen, and a multimedia show.
Recommended stop also at Todalshytta cabin and the garden of Svinvik. Start at RV 670 in Surnadal, drive to Todal on RV 671. Kårvatn is at the end of the road. Total driving time: appr 45 min return trip from Rv 670 in Surnadal.
