People have always reached out to one another. In Nordmøre people live at the head of the fjord or on the outermost island. So it goes without saying that the transport arteries are spectacular. Along these one can pause, open one’s senses – and perhaps indulge some national romanticism?

For thousands of years we have lived on Nature’s terms. People have gathered where they could harvest the natural resources. We still live out at sea or deep in the fjords, still on Nature’s terms. So each locality has its own unique character. 

People have been living here for over ten thousand years. We have traded in fish and timber for hundreds of years. That unique cultural legacy has left its mark on us and is an important element of modern Nordmøre.
